Welcome back to Discover Talent! In our previous tutorial, we covered the basics of the Excel Automate tab and how Office Scripts can simplify your workflow. Today, we take it a step further with one of the most powerful additions to modern Excel: Copilot AI.
The End of Manual Scripting
If you've ever wrestled with VBA or struggled to perfect an Office Script, this update is going to be a breath of fresh air. Copilot eliminates the need to write code manually — simply type what you want, and it generates clean, functional script within seconds.
Draft Using AI: How It Works
Inside the Automate ribbon, you'll find the "Draft using AI (Preview)" option. This feature allows you to provide a plain English prompt such as:
“Format the data and make the headline bold.”
Copilot then instantly converts your instruction into a robust, reusable Office Script. No coding. No recording. Just intelligent automation ready to run.
One-Click Automation for Any Future Data
Once the script is generated, all you need to do is save and rename it (such as "AI Bot"). From there, every time you receive new data, simply open the All Scripts menu, choose your saved script, and hit Run.
The transformation is instant — beautifully formatted data with a single click. This feature elevates Excel into a truly intelligent, time-saving automation platform.
Try it today and experience how Copilot can redefine your everyday Excel workflow.
